Young mum dies of head injuries in car accident

SUNGAI PETANI: A young mother who was on her way to her father’s house was killed in a road accident along the North-South Expressway in Sungai Petani, Kedah.
Lim Hui Wen, 26, died on the spot from head injuries in the 3.50am accident.
She was heading to Sungai Lalang when the car she was in landed in a ditch and overturned after being rammed from behind by another vehicle.

Lim was travelling with her parents, sister and brother-in-law, who was driving the car.
They escaped with minor injuries.
Kuala Muda district police chief Assistant Commissioner Md Zukir Md Isa said the driver of the other vehicle fled the accident site, leaving his car behind.
“But he surrendered to police later,” he added.
The victim had given birth to a boy just two months ago.
