PMO: Remains of Jamaluddin Jarjis and Azlin Alias identified
KUALA LUMPUR: Remains of Tan Sri Jamaluddin Jarjis and Datuk Seri Azlin Alias have been identified, according to the Prime Minister's Office today.
In a tweet by the PMO at 7.47am, it said: “Alhamdulillah, jasad TS Jamaluddin Jarjis & Dato' Azlin Alias telah dikenalpasti & akan di bawa pulang ke rumah untuk pengkebumian pagi ini.”
Earlier, family members and next-of-kin arrived at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital mortuary to identify the bodies.
Jamaluddin and Azlin are among those who perished in the helicopter crash at Jalan Sungai Lalang, Kampung Pasir Baru, Semenyih near here.
Jamaluddin was the member of Parliament for Rompin and the chairman of PR1MA while Azlin was the principal private secretary to the Prime Minister.
Prayers before burial for Jamaluddin will be held at the National Mosque, here while remains of Azlin will be buried at the Sekolah Menengah Agama Persekutuan Cemetery in Kajang.
Others who died in the crash are Datuk Tan Huan Seang , Jamaluddin's bodyguard Razakan Seran, pilot Clifford William Fournier and co-pilot Aidiana Baiziera.
