KUALA LUMPUR: The infamous “Petaling Street stripper” has claimed trial at a magistrate's court here to a charge of behaving indecently in public.
Persana Avril Sollunda, 32, a part time model and spa worker, pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to the charge under Section 294 of the Penal Code of committing an obscene act in public.
If found guilty she faces up to three months in jail or a fine or both.
Magistrate Zura Syazween Hamizan set May 29 for next mention.
On Saturday, police arrested the Sabahan, who was caught on video removing her white jacket, black blouse and her bra at the popular tourist street during an argument after refusing to pay for a meal.
The incident took place at 4.30pm on Thursday.
In the video, she was seen arguing with another person and later took off her clothes.
On Sunday, police confirmed that the woman had tested positive for methamphetamine.
She had been detained following a report of public indecency under Section 509 of the Penal Code
