The curry mixed with the fluffy grains is an addictive mixture of kuah kerutup daging made from beef, fish gulai and gulai darat. Your packet of rice will cost you RM5.50. Dine at this stall located within the mosque compound for nasi kukus and delicious ayam berempah goreng. The rice is light fluffy and has a slight warmth to it. Complementing the whole delicious experience is the thick gulai daging with chunks of meat, fresh cucumber pieces, and a mouth-numbing sambal made with bird's eye chillies.
Fork out RM5 for a packet, RM7 for ayam kampong goreng. Top up with extra chicken for RM3.50 or go for the prized ayam kampong at RM5 per piece.
Nasi Kukus Berempah
This four-year old stall serves up nasi kukus with unique touches.
At Nasi Kukus Berempah, they prefer to steam the rice within the steamer’s tray. This makes it easier to keep the rice warm as it is drizzled with gulai and the super spicy sambal.
Eat it with your crispy ayam goreng berempah straight from the hot oil and fresh cucumber slices. Accompanying the rice ensemble is a bowl of hot sup daging to warm the tummy. You can also request for salted egg for additional sustenance. The price of nasi kukus with a drink is RM6.80.
