KUALA LUMPUR: The AS365N2 Dauphin helicopter which crashed in Semenyih about 40km from here on Saturday, killing Tan Sri Jamaluddin Jarjis, is widely used as a corporate transport.

The helicopter has been used as an airborne law enforcement platform, emergency medical services (EMS) helicopter, electronic-news gathering platform, as well as a search and rescue helicopter.
The Eurocopter AS365N2 Dauphin is a medium-weight multipurpose twin-engine helicopter, according to Eurocopter website.
It was originally developed and manufactured by French firm Arospatiale, and later merged into the multinational Eurocopter company in the 90s.
The helicopter has been in production for 40 years since it entered the market in 1975.
The Rompin MP and principal private secretary to the Prime Minister Datuk Azlin Alias were among six passengers in the helicopter that crashed at about 4.55pm on Saturday.
The helicopter also carrying pilot Capt Clifford Fournier; co-pilot Eidiana Baiziera; businessman Datuk Robert Tan, and Jamaluddin’s bodyguard Mohd Razkan Seran, 32, exploded in mid-air and crashed in Semenyih, just minutes away from its destination on Saturday.
They were said to be returning from Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's daughter's wedding reception in Pekan, Pahang.
