The man confronted her at the hypermarket car park and pleaded with her to continue their relationship.
However, she refused, telling him that she was already engaged to another man and was set to marry in December.
Hearing this, the man got enraged and slammed her head onto a motorcycle, then stabbed her before running off.
Nursyafikah was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, but was pronounced dead on the way.
Nursyafikah’s mother Bedah Bontak, 63, said she ended her relationship with the man several months ago.
“Earlier, we were surprised when he came to the house at 11am to meet her after several months’ absence.
“He apologised to my daughter for making her wait for months for his marriage proposal,” Bedah said.
“He sought forgiveness for leaving her in the lurch for months.
“He tried to win over my daughter’s heart again, but she refused as she was already engaged to another man,” she added at her house in Felda Ulu Dengar here.
Nursyafikah got engaged with the suspect last year.
But,she broke it off due to his bad temper, claiming that he had assaulted her.
Nursyafikah then got engaged to another suitor in February.
Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Roze Shaari said the victim’s body was sent to the Enche' Besar Hajjah Kalsom Hospital in Kluang for a post-mortem.
He added that the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
Hypermarket operations manager Mas Imran Adam visited the house to hand over a contribution to Nursyafikah’s family.
