PETALING JAYA: An administrative officer who allegedly hammered a car belonging to a 67-year-old man with a steering lock, claimed trial to causing damage and mischief at the magistrate's court.
Ridhwan Rahmat, 32, was alleged to have knocked on the hood and windshield of a Mercedes Benz belonging to Chin Saw Thon.
He was charged with committing the offence at Jalan Persiaran Tujuan, Subang Jaya, USJ 8, Goodyear Court 5 here at 2.30pm on Nov 15.
Ridhwan also faced a second charge of using criminal intimidation on Chin at the same place and time.
Magistrate Salamiah Salleh allowed RM7,000 bail for both charges and fixed Dec 3 for mention.
Earlier, the victim who was present in court said he did not want to pursue the matter.
The court had then allowed a representation to be made to the Attorney-General's Chambers to drop the charges against the accused.
Deputy public prosecutor Fatimah Yahya prosecuted while Ridhwan was represented by counsel Zainal Abidin.

Khoo Kok Ann, 58, claimed trial to spitting on the windshield of a car belonging to Alisia Thean Wei Yun and causing damage to the personal assistant's vehicle by bending the wipers.
The court granted RM10,000 bail and the case will be up for mention on Dec 15.
