26 Nov – Hong Kong star Andy Lau, who recently appeared at the TVB Star Awards Malaysia 2014 to present the Starlight Achievement Awards to Lau Kong and Helena Law, revealed that he was initially not scheduled to attend the event.
According to Mingpao News, in an interview with Cable Entertainment, Andy revealed that he was originally contacted to record a video message for the two winners, to be broadcasted on stage during the segment.
"But then I thought that all of us would be happier if I actually appeared [to present the award]. Besides, I have not seen them for quite a while, and I want to witness the occasion myself," said Andy.
Helena Law said that she was touched by Andy's gesture, especially since she knew that the actor is a busy man.
Asked if there was a possibility of him making a comeback to TVB, Andy replied, "If the two of them [Helena Law and Lau Kong] are in it too, it would be highly likely. I can even take a salary cut for it."
