KUALA LUMPUR: The remains of MH17 victims Foo Ming Lee, Ng Qing Zheng, Mabel Anthony Samy and Mabel's husband Paul Rajasingam Sivagnanam arrived at the Nirvana Memorial Centre in Sungai Besi here at 12.40pm today.
In a receiving ceremony conducted by the centre's staff and a line up of eight City Hall officers clad in their blue uniform and songkok, the remains arrived five minutes apart of each other in four Armed Forces' hearses escorted by police patrol cars and motorcycles.
The coffins, covered under Malaysian flags, were then taken into the centre for family members to pay their last respect.
Nirvana Memorial Centre deputy general manager Teh Khai Lin said a funeral service will be conducted for Foo at the centre, and his remains are expected to be cremated at Nirvana's Crematorium in Shah Alam on Sunday.
Ng's remains, meanwhile, will be sent back to his family's house in Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam on Saturday morning for funeral service before cremation on Sunday.
The said the funeral procession for Ng's remains is scheduled to start at 11am Sunday.
Teh said the remains of the couple, who are from Mont Kiara, will be kept at the centre until further notice.
It is learnt that their family wanted to wait for the remains of the couple's son Matthew Ezekial Sivagnanam, 9, before proceeding with their funeral.
Meanwhile, Ng's brother-in-law Benson Soh said eight of his family members went to the KLIA for the receiving ceremony this morning.
