MH17: The long journey home

PETALING JAYA: On July 17, social media was abuzz with news that Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH17 went off radar screens.
It was later confirmed that MH17, which was travelling from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, was hit by a missile and went down over war-torn Ukraine. All 298 on board perished.
Thus, began the long and emotional journey to bring the remains of the victims home.
Malaysia declared Aug 22 as a national day of mourning when the first batch of remains return home.
