Dang Wangi gets new police chief


   
KUALA LUMPUR: Taiping-born Asst Comm Rasdi Ramli on Monday, assumed the duties of Dang Wangi OCPD.
ACP Rasdi, 56 succeeds Senior Asst Comm Zainuddin Ahmad, who has been promoted to the Kuala Lumpur Contingent’s Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department’s directorship.
SAC Zainuddin led the Dang Wangi police for two-years.
At the handing over of duties ceremony at the Dang Wangi police headquarters, Kuala Lumpur police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Tajudin Md Isa said ACP Rasdi had the leadership and mental will to helm the city’s most business and tourist concentrated district.
ACP Rasdi joined the force in 1984 and was previously chief of staff at the Kuala Lumpur Contingent’s administrative division, and Bukit Aman’s Public Relations Division deputy director.
