MALAYSIA's pop queen, Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza, said her latest SimplySiti “Sweet Dreams” Fragrance Mist perfume may resemble Victoria's Secret's, but hers has a distinctive scent that is suitable for people of different personalities. This she believes makes her perfumes stand on its own.
“Just like what Zizan (from Raja Lawak) used to say: 'Some things may look alike but it doesn't mean that they are the same'. Maybe it’s the shape of the perfume bottle that is similar, but the size is completely different.
“The SimplySiti “Sweet Dreams” body mist bottle is much smaller and you can carry it with no hassle wherever you go. The pricing and marketing of the perfume is also quite specific. It is suitable for all ages too,” she explained when asked to elaborate about the look and shape of her perfume which bears a striking resemblance to Victoria's Secret, the renowned international brand’s own body mist perfume.
Siti Nurhaliza was met during the “Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza Live” concert press conference, which took place at her new office at Menara Atlan, Ampang recently. Also present at the conference was her husband, Datuk Seri Khalid Mohd Jiwa.
The limited edition perfume comprises of 6 distinctive scents, namely Ocean Fresh, Wild Berries, Musky Peach, Exotic Violet, Tropical Bouquet and Sugar Blossom. It comes in a 125ml bottle, priced at RM16.90.
“The idea for this product came out of my own love for perfumes. I find that at certain times, we need perfume to save our day. For example, our clothes may smell after spending time in the kitchen. This can be uncomfortable for some. So it is good if we can spray a little perfume to lessen the unpleasant smell,” said Siti, whose favourite scent from the range is Ocean Fresh.
Siti’s husband also announced plans to expand his wife’s enterprise by introducing health and beauty food supplements.
“We plan to add some food supplement products before June this year,” said Khalid.
Meanwhile, Siti will be holding her exclusive charity concert, Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza Live at KLCC – Where the Heart Is.
The two-day concert will be held at the Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) on February 7 & 8.
Proceeds from the ticket sales will go to Yayasan Nurjiwa, a charity foundation established by Siti and Khalid on August 26 last year.
More information about the concert is available on www.simplysiti.com.my.
