Sabah FC confirmed their place in the knockout round of the Asian Football Confederation Cup (AFC) after defeating Singapore's Hougang United 4-1 at Jalan Besar Stadium, Singapore last night.
The result achieved in Singapore saw Sabah comfortably lead Group H with 12 points, with one group match remaining and will face the Indonesian representative PSM Makassar on Dec 14.
Group H rivals at the same time saw representatives of Vietnam Hai Phong FC and PSM Makassar share seven points respectively in the second and third position of the group after being tied 1-1 in another action last night.
