LONDON: Britain's new monarchs, King Charles III and Queen Camilla expressed their "most sincere and sincere" thanks in the latest message released by Buckingham Palace on Monday, at the end of the most important event in the country's monarchy.
The royal couple personally thanked each and every one of those who helped make the event a success in London, Windsor and elsewhere and described the event as 'very happy, peaceful and very enjoyable.'
"We thank those who joined in celebrating - whether at home, at street events or by volunteering in the community - we thank each and every one of you," King Charles said.
"Knowing that we have your support and backing and seeing your kindness translated in so many ways is the greatest coronation gift as we now dedicate our lives to the people of the United Kingdom, the territories and the entire Commonwealth."
Accompanying the royal message, Buckingham Palace also distributed the four latest official portraits of King Charles III and Queen Camilla and their relatives which were taken shortly after the coronation event last Saturday.
All the official photos were taken by the famous English photographer, Hugo Burnand, at Buckingham Palace.
Among the official photos, King Charles III was captured in full dress including a robe and crown while holding the ruler's ball.
His Majesty was pleased to sit on one of the royal throne chairs in 1902 which was produced specifically for the coronation of King Edward VII by King George V and Queen Mary.
In another official portrait, Queen Camilla is pictured wearing Queen Mary's Crown and robes.
Also distributed by Buckingham Palace are photos of the royal couple in the Throne Room as well as photos of the King and Queen flanked by "working royals" or family members who carry out official duties on behalf of the monarchy.
