The babysitter who abused a baby was remanded
JOHOR BAHRU: A childcare center nanny (nursery) was remanded for four days to assist in the investigation of a case of abusing two babies at a private nursery in Mutiara Rini, Johor Bahru.
The 21-year-old woman was remanded from today until next May 19 after permission to remand was issued by Magistrate R Salini at the Johor Bahru Magistrate's Court, this morning.
Johor Police Chief, Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat in a statement said the woman was arrested in Bandar Selesa Jaya, Skudai at 2am this morning.
The results of the investigation found that the incident happened at a kindergarten in the Mutiara Rini area.
The victims are an 11-month-old girl and a 9-month-old boy.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 31(1)(a) of the Children Act 2001.
Yesterday, two viral videos on social media lasting 48 seconds and 39 seconds showed a local woman abusing two babies by patting the victim's head and blowing on the crying victim's face.
