KUALA LUMPUR: Former Prime Minister Najib Razak questioned the actions of certain parties who disputed his recent intentions in Singapore.
In an update on social media, Najib regretted that his presence in Singapore to visit his daughter, Nooryana Najwa, who gave birth to her second child, has became an issue
This is also an issue? I can't be with my grandchild 24 hours a day for the six days while I am in Singapore," Najib said in a Facebook post. Najib explained that the person with him in the viral picture is Singaporean billionaire Sam Goi Seng Hui, who owned the Sutera Harbour Resort in Sabah and a fan of Malaysia's economic policy during his time as Prime Minister from 2009 to 2018.
"Sam is currently ranked 23rd on Singapore's richest Forbes list with a fortune of US$1.7 billion... yes, the Rolls-Royce is his.
"When we met, he asked a lot for my views on the country's development and economic direction because he wanted to invest more in Malaysia.
"Is it wrong for me to use my personal time to give my views to foreign investors who want to invest in Malaysia even if I am not PM and not a minister anymore?" he wrote.
