Monkeywash launches mobile app, to provide over 1,000 job opportunities

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 27 -- One of Malaysia’s largest on-call car wash services, Monkeywash launched its mobile application that is projected to provide more than 1,000 Malaysians with job opportunities and 100 micro-business capital via their app and car wash kiosk programme.
Its founder and chief executive officer, Terry Swee said the platform is a breakthrough in the local business ecosystem as it can provide the opportunity to generate a permanent or side income by becoming a car wash kiosk owner.
“The last few years have been very challenging, Malaysians have been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. I am thankful to have been given the special opportunity to be with my friends in our country and provide online car wash services while generating a lucrative income in order to overcome uncontrollable situations such as this pandemic.
“Monkeywash is now active in Klang Valley, Penang, Negeri Sembilan, Bintulu and Johor Bahru. Many more will be opened in other states and we will proudly start operations in our neighbouring country, Brunei next month, ” he said in a statement today.
Swee said the company will include launderette and house cleaning on the platform as its future services.
The launching ceremony was officiated by the Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker who is proud that the young founder of Monkeywash was able to start a business that was much-needed in the market after the Movement Control Order (MCO) and the recent natural disaster.
In the same statement, Ti said the government is interested in continuing to work with the private sector to provide business and employment opportunities to young Malaysians as a side or permanent income.
Meanwhile, MK group managing director, Dr Raymond Ang praised the outstanding work by Monkeywash management in driving the growth, success, and marketing to elevate the company to become one of Malaysia's favourite car wash networks and platforms.
