British woman among 38 arrested in raid on entertainment outlet

KUALA LUMPUR: A British woman was among 38 women arrested in a raid on an entertainment outlet along Jalan Perak here.
Kuala Lumpur CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said the women - 18 Ukrainians and 11 Russians along with three each from Kazakhstan and Belarus and with one each from Britain, Germany and Thailand - were arrested during the raid conducted at about 12.15am on Saturday (Dec 28).
All the women are believed to have been working as guest relations officers.
"We also arrested a Malaysian man as well as four Bangladeshi men and an Iranian man. The Malaysian is the outlet's manager," he said, adding that those detained have been remanded, he added.
