New app makes business licence renewal easier

KUALA Lumpur City Hall’s (DBKL) Mobile Integrated Service (Mobis) app is now upgraded to allow users to renew various business licences.
Since its development in 2017, the Mobis V2 mobile app now includes various functions with the new sets allowing users to renew their premises, signboard advertising and composite licence (composite licence is a combination of premises signboard advertising licences).
Previously the app only allowed users to check and pay traffic summonses and pay for assessment.
The Mobis app is part of DBKL’s move to incorporate Smart City Technology in Kuala Lumpur to improve convenience for city folk.
During the launch, Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad said more people preferred the convenience of online transactions.
“Using the app is easier and safer than paying at the counters. We will continue to enhance it from time to time, ” he said.
From Jan 1 to Nov 30,2019, there were 35,883 transactions through the app, with RM2,617,917 collected.
During the same event, Khalid also launched the Kuala Lumpur Sport, Event and Facilities (KLSPEF) portal.The portal allows users to book and pay for DBKL’s sports and hall facilities.
“This is rebranding of the previous Mytempahan system, which is more integrated and seamless, ” Khalid said.
The public can make bookings for various sporting facilities like badminton and futsal courts at the 59 complexes in Kuala Lumpur via appsys.dbkl.gov.my/kl-spef
