De Lima arrives in Muntinlupa court to face judge
Senator Leila de Lima has arrived at the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court on Friday where she will be presented to the judge who ordered her arrest on drug charges.
Her convoy left the Senate a few minutes before 9 a.m. after she voluntarily surrendered to arresting officers.
Authorities barred De Lima's supporters and groups of the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption, one of the petitioners against De Lima, from approaching the senator.
The judge is expected to decide on Friday where to detain to senator.
