Single mother sexually assaulted by housemate who is now on the run

MIRI: A single mother has made a police report claiming sexual molestation by her housemate, who had earlier made a friendly gesture of offering bread to her daughter.
In the 7.45am incident yesterday, the woman, in her 30s, claims she was attending to her three-year-old daughter when the man came into her room.
Miri district police chief Assistant Commissioner Khoo Leng Huat said instead of giving bread as promised, the assailant suddenly charged towards the woman and started fondling her private parts.
“The woman said she tried to retaliate but was overpowered by the man,” said Khoo.
The man, believed to be Indonesian, fled the house after the woman threatened to lodge a police report against him.
Khoo said police are in the midst of locating the suspect, believed to be in his 40s.
