Flasher on the loose in Taman Cempaka, Ipoh
IPOH: Police are hot on the trail of a suspected flasher who has been indecently exposing himself to women around Taman Cempaka since May.
Ipoh deputy police chief (operations) Superintendent Abdul Rani Alias said that to date, police have received three reports on the alleged flasher.
He said initial investigations revealed that the suspect, who is in his 30s, committed his act while riding a Red Yamaha LC135 motorcycle near the victims.
"We received a report in May and two other reports were lodged about two weeks ago," he said when met during a community policing program here, today.
Based on the reports, Rani said police believe that they were committed by the same suspect.
"His victims were higher learning institution students in the area," he said.
Rani had advised the women, especially students in the area, to always walk in groups to prevent themselves from being targeted by the flasher.
