Khairy Congratulates Dhabitah For Her Achievement But Got The Wrong Twitter Accounts
Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin is the biggest fan and supporter of our Malaysian athletes who are competing in the Rio Olympics.
His constant support can be seen through his Twitter feed, and he recently tweeted his support for Malaysian divers Pandelela Rinong and Nur Dhabitah Sabri, who competed in the 10m platform diving finals.
He tweeted updates before, during and after the event, and he constantly mentioned the two divers by tagging their accounts in his tweets.
Although the divers were not able to add to the country's medal count in the end, he was still proud of them and praised them on Twitter.
Well done @DabhitahSabri! 17 years old, Olympics debut. Your future is bright. Onwards & upwards! #MalaysiaBoleh
And well done @Pandelela_R. Chin up, hold your head up high. You're still going home with a SILVER! #MalaysiaBoleh
However, it seems that Khairy's tweets did not reach the intended recipient as Dhabitah cheekily tweeted to Khairy telling him that he got her name (account) wrong.
"YB nama saya salah laa.. hahaha (YB you got my name wrong.. hahaha)," Dhabitah tweeted to Khairy.

@Khairykj @DabhitahSabri YB nama sy slah laa.. hahhaha
Khairy, who saw Dhabitah's tweet, finally tweeted to her actual account and admitted to his mistake in stride.
"Haha. Satu hari dok tweet pakai akaun yg salah tu! Anyway, well done @bitahsabri127. Proud of you! (Haha. I've been tweeting to the wrong account the whole day! Anyway, well done @bitahsabri127. Proud of you!)," Khairy replied.

Despite Khairy's unintentionally funny fumble, his sentiments echoes the thoughts of all Malaysians who are proud of the young diver's achievement.
