State Religious Officials First To Be Invited By Johor Sultan Onboard His New Boeing Jet
KUALA LUMPUR: The Johor Sultan's new Boeing 737 aircraft touched down at the Senai International Airport at about 1:30pm on Monday after flying in from the United States.
Sultan Ibrahim, 57, who is a licensed pilot, was quoted as saying in media reports that his latest aircraft would be used to promote Johor. Now, he is extremely thrilled to be taking his first flight out onboard the plane to the Holy Land of Mecca.
Sources have informed us that the first people that Sultan Ibrahim invited onboard his plane are the state's religious officials, including Johor Mufti Datuk Tahrir Shamsudin and Deputy State Mufti Datuk Yahya Ahmad.
From exclusive images supplied to Malaysian Digest, the state religious officials are photographed inside the jet's plush interior.
The plane, which can accommodate between 25 and 30 people, is equipped with a dining room, bedroom, shower and three galleys. Also, lining the cabin walls are Quranic verses in gold framings and letterings.
Photographs of the jet's exterior has the word 'Allah' emblazoned in blue Jawi lettering on top, while 'Johor' is also written in Jawi across the sides of the aircraft, next to the state's flag.
The Boeing aircraft, which took about two years to complete, including 18 months just on customising is exquisitely painted in hues of gold and blue.
Earlier, Malaysian Digest had also ran an exclusive on the Johor Sultan's purchase of the Boeing 737 business jet while it was onroute from Washington DC to Johor Bahru which you can read here.
