KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has denied being part of a conspiracy to topple the Prime Minister saying there was enough evidence to incriminate Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

Calling on Attorney General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali to "act fairly," Muhyiddin again alleged that the former Attorney-General, Tan Sri Gani Patail, had enough evidence against Najib in the 1Malaysia Development Bhd and SRC International cases.

Muhyiddin, who was suspended as Umno deputy president last week, said the evidence was “public knowledge” as shown in the flow chart which Apandi himself had used during a press conference where he absolved Najib of any wrongdoing in the cases.

"There are those who asked what proof I have, concerning the deposit of money into the Prime Minister’s account, which is no longer a secret now," Muhyiddin told a press conference at Bukit Damansara on Thursday.

Holding a photograph of a news clipping of Apandi showing the flow chart, he said: "In the picture that has been enlarged, it shows that what I had said is no longer a secret.”

He said this was the same information which he received from Gani.

“There is clear evidence of Najib’s involvement in this, but this cannot be made public because the case did not go to court,” Muhyiddin said.

Muhyiddin said although Apandi had decided to close the cases, he should consider the fact that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s had been told by the Special Operations Panel to resubmit the investigation papers to the A-G.

“They (Panel) wouldn’t do so if they did not have strong evidence. So, I hope the A-G can act fairly in carrying out his duty,” he said.

Muhyiddin also denied being part of a conspiracy to topple Najib. “Our questions are valid, so this is not a conspiracy,” he said.
