MALACCA: Two janitors apparently had a sexual romp inside a classroom of a secondary school here, in the same block where 50 Form Five students were attending a seminar on how to prepare for the SPM examination.
The 17-year-old janitor claimed she was coerced by a male co-worker on Feb 6 to have sex.
Two days later, she lodged a police report at the Melaka Tengah police headquarters claiming she was raped.
In the report, she claimed that her colleague dragged her to the classroom on the fourth floor of the school at 9am last Saturday.
She alleged that she was cleaning a room when the 20-something man coaxed her into have sex.
The teenager said she relented due to his persuasion.
They entered an empty classroom without realising that 50 Form Five female students were attending a seminar on the second floor then.
The girl’s mother later discovered a WhatsApp message that she sent to the man, asking him to supply her with birth control pills.
She asked her daughter to lodge a police report.
One 46-year-old parent of a Form Five student here, who identified herself as Yati, said there had been much chatter now about the classroom being turned into a place for the tryst.
“It’s the talk among the students. This is something unsavoury for young minds,” she said.
Malacca’s Education, Higher Learning, Science, Technology and Innovation committee chairman Datuk Wira Md Yunos Husin said he was shocked when he was told about it.
“I felt disgusted when I heard the news.
“Janitors are hired to clean the school, not to turn it into a place for their rendezvous,” he said.
Md Yunos said he had asked the state Education Department to summon the contractor.
