SUBANG JAYA: For a group of thieves who managed to weasel their way in and out of a house in Bandar Bukit Puchong undetected, returning to steal the homeowner's BMW was not the smartest thing to do.
Subang Jaya Deputy OCPD Supt Lee Swee Meng said the owner of the house, a 24-year-old online businessman was away at Genting Highlands when he received a distressing call from his father at around 6pm on Nov 28.
"His father told him that thieves had broken into his house. He arrived home at about 7.30pm to find the main door lock tampered and his bedroom in a mess.

"The thieves took off with three gold necklaces, three gold bangles, two gold ankle bracelets, five gold rings, two diamond rings, a mobile phone, car keys and RM 1000 of cash," he told reporters at the district police headquarters yesterday.

Supt Lee said two days later, policemen on crime patrol duties noticed two men climbing over the gates of the businessman's house at about 8.45pm on Nov 30.

"The two men started to escape upon seeing the police officers. We managed to arrest one suspect,” said Supt Lee

He added that the other suspect managed to enter the getaway car, also a BMW, and sped off with a third accomplice in the vehicle.

"The businessman was in his father's house next door at the time of the incident," he explained.
Supt Lee said the 36-year-old suspect led the police to a hotel along Jalan Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur, where house-breaking tools were recovered from two rooms.
Police have requested Koh Kim Huat, 47, and Ngai Fook Seng, 33, to come forward to facilitate investigations.
