Party till 5am in Kuala Lumpur
Malaysia’s first purpose-built and largest food and beverage as well as entertainment enclave, TREC – has recently been awarded the 5am licence by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).
The move makes Trec the first precinct to have such an operating licence in the city.

The move also allows newly-opened F&B brands located at Trec’s Electric Boulevard to operate till 5am.
The same operating licence will also benefit potential F&B businesses at TREC, without having to apply for one separately, saving time on the administrative process.

The recently launched Electric Boulevard, is one of Trec’s five zones. The extended operating hours allows more flexibility for restaurant owners in the way they run their businesses.
Trec, which took three years to conceive, is endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture. The property is also part of Kuala Lumpur Tourism Master Plan.

The development has three blocks – The Hive, Alcove and The Terraces which will open in the second quarter of next year.

Trec’s co-founder and managing director Cher Ng said “This is not only beneficial for business owners but also on a consumer and tourism level. In a larger picture, the extended operating hours for the cluster of F&B outlets at TREC will add more vibrancy to the lifestyle and entertainment landscape in KL, drawing more visitors to the city as well as footfall to the precinct.”
