Ex-celebrity chef charged with committing anal sex

JOHOR BARU: A former celebrity chef pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court here to committing unnatural sex with a male youth.
Singaporean Muhammad Mustaqim Juri, 37, allegedly committed the offence at a car park area in Tampoi at around 2.30pm on Dec 10.
Muhammad Mustaqim, a runner-up in culinary competition Chef Selebriti 2007, had forced the unemployed 22-year old youth to engage in the sexual act in his car.
He later went to the victim's house in Taman Cempaka here and threatened his mother that he would "get rid of her whole family".
Judge Meor Sulaiman Ahmad Tarmizi set RM40,000 as bail with one surety and the suspect to surrender his passport to the court. The next mention date is January 17, 2016.
The case is being investigated for committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature without consent and intimidation.
Muhammad Mustaqim is also a part-time chef and beauty consultant here and commutes regularly from Singapore to Johor Baru.
He met the victim, who was working as a helper at a nasi lemak stall here, a month ago and brought him to stay at his condominium.
It was reported in the Singapore papers that Muhammad Mustaqim, a divorcee with three children, was earlier jailed for four years for sexually abusing a 13-year old boy in the republic.
