- He signed a new four-year contract with the club just over a year ago
- Manager insisted he was feeling no pressure after draw with Everton
The Northern Irishman was told after Sunday's 1-1 draw with Everton that his three-and-a-half year reign in charge at Anfield was over.
Rodgers, whose side have only won one of their last nine games in 90 minutes, was informed in a phone call by a member of Fenway Sports Group's executive committee of the club's decision.

Rodgers' side drew 1-1 with Everton in Saturday's Merseyside derby after taking the lead at Goodison Park
Rodgers' side currently sit 10th in the Barclays Premier League having won just three of their eight games
He has been under pressure since the start of the season but Rodgers is understood to have taken the decision in a dignified way.
No decision has been made about whether Sean O'Driscoll, Gary McAllister and Pejin Linders - the coaching staff that was put together in the summer following the departures of Colin Pascoe and Mike Marsh - will follow.
