Persistent punter lands RM30.57mil jackpot
PETALING JAYA: Five years of persistently buying the same pair of numbers has finally won a 55-year-old punter a mind-boggling RM30.57mil.
His lucky numbers – 5553 and 1809 – were derived from his identity card, his son’s birthday and car registration number.
The man, who runs a family-owned business, said he spent RM182 on every draw.
“Spending RM182 in every draw for five years is not a small investment but the payoff has been great,” he told Sports Toto after collecting his winnings for Sunday’s Toto 4D Jackpot 1.
He said he would donate 10% of the prize money to places of worship, 10% to charities and save the balance for a rainy day.
“I won RM2mil before playing Toto Digit games, so I was calm when I found out that I had won the jackpot,” he added.
The RM30.57mil Toto 4D Jackpot 1 was the highest snowballed amount accumulated since the introduction of the Toto 4D Jackpot game in 2011.
