KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court here rejected the bail application of former Batu Kawan Umno division vice-chairman Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan and lawyer Matthias Chang Wen Chieh.

High Court judge Justice Mohd Azman Husin fixed re-mention on Nov 5 pending hearing at the Federal Court on Nov 3.

Justice Mohd Azman made the order after hearing submissions from the parties Tuesday.

The Federal Court had fixed Nov 3 for the hearing to ascertain whether their case could be tried under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma).
