Zunar’s latest cartoon on Rosmah blocked on Facebook

Facebook has blocked an artwork on the prime minister's wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor by political cartoonist Zunar, just half an hour after he uploaded it on his fan page.
Zunar, whose real name is Zulkiflee Anwar Ulhaque, said that attempts to upload the image with a different file name also failed.
"The cartoon, 'Plan B (ini) on Zeti' under the account of 'Zunar Kartunis Fan Club', 'Zunar Kartunis' and 'Zunar Kartunis Dua' was blocked half an hour after it was uploaded. Several attempts to upload the same image also failed," he said in a statement this afternoon.
When contacted, he told The Malaysian Insider that he uploaded the cartoon around 11.45am this morning and it was taken down half an hour later.
"In the main fanclub page, the whole thing is gone. But in the other two pages, only the image is gone. The text is still there," he said.
"Then I uploaded the cartoon on my site but some have complained that they cannot access it."
The offending cartoon apparently shows a caricature of Rosmah as head of a bank.
Zunar said he has already contacted Facebook over the matter but has yet to hear from them.
He said he felt that the move seemed to be an attempt by Putrajaya to clamp down on his work, which has gotten him into trouble with the authorities before.
"It is really funny because normally you can re-upload the image with a different file name. This seems like a well-executed plan by cybertroopers to block the content.
He said this was his first cartoon on Rosmah in two months as he had been focused on drawings featuring Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
"I have not been doing cartoons on Rosmah for about two months now, but have done many on Najib in this time."
The controversial cartoonist, famed for his hard-hitting caricatures of Malaysian leaders, is facing nine sedition charges for his tweets criticising the jailing of former opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who was convicted of sodomy in February.
Seven of Zunar's books have also been banned. He has resorted to selling them online but his web-based distributors have also been subjected to police questioning. – October 20, 2015.
