Deadly find: The pistol and a knife seized by Miri police after the street fight.
MIRI: A violent street fight involving more than 20 youths in Taman Bumiko near here led to the recovery of various weapons, including swords, daggers and a gun.
Police personnel rushed to the scene on being alerted about the fight on Sunday and detained three people, sources said.
It is learned that several of those involved in the street fight were also injured.
Police have also seized several cars, believed to have been used by the youths.
One of the vehicles was badly damaged with shattered windscreen and windows.
It is believed that among the weapons found were Chinese broad swords, Rambo daggers, samurai swords, rods and sickles as well as a Glock pistol.
Police are still investigating the motive behind the fight but initial investigations show that the youths attacked each other after a drinking session at a coffeeshop.
It is unclear if they are gang members but sources said the Miri police had already identified those involved in the fight.
