Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur celebrated Malaysia day in full pomp and splendour, in a celebration of the people and cultures of Malaysia
Malaysia Day is held on 16 September every year to commemorate the establishment of the Malaysian federation on the same date in 1963. Celebrating Malaysia Day is acknowledging fellow Malaysians from Sabah and Sarawak together with those in the Peninsular, celebrating the diversified cultures of the people in Malaysia.
Mandarin Oriental's Hotel Manager Mr. Richard Johnson was present with his family celebrating the Malaysia Day and to greet the guest who came.
Mandarin Oriental's Assistant F&B Director Mr. Arulchothy Paramchothy and his management team were also on hand to make sure guest were well taken care off and the whole evening went on smoothly.
A special 'kolam' decoration was placed in the front of Lounge on the Park, where the Indians believe having the kolam will bring prosperity.'
The Mosaic restaurant offered a "Malaysia Day" Buffet highlighting the best of Malaysian cuisine with popular dishes from all the major cultures in Malaysia. The fare was fresh and tasty. Guest gave the food top marks.
A troupe of nine dancers then entertained guest with a Malaysian cultural performance. Despite some of the major roads within the city being closed for the Red Shirt Rally more than 130 Guest enjoyed the tasty spread while enjoying the cultural show.
