Broken lavatories force MAS flight to land in Chennai

KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysia Airlines (MAS) jet made an unscheduled landing in India on Thursday due to broken lavatories.
AFP reports that the aircraft was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.
The news agency quotes an airline spokesman as saying that MH19 landed in Chennai, India on a scheduled flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.
“The plane had to land due to inoperable lavatories,” she said.
A check on the airline’s website showed that the flight had landed in Chennai at 2.35am. It departed for the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) less than two hours later.
