Low Leong Seng, 28, Eric Chon Weng, 23, and Soo Weng Hing were sentenced by the magistrate's court today when they pleaded guilty to injuring Shahrul Anuar Abdul Aziz at the mall at Bukit Bintang around 4.47pm on July 11.

The trio were unrepresented while prosecution was conducted by deputy public prosecutor N. Joy Jothi.

On July 11, the alleged theft incited a riot outside the same mall, which led to the arrests of 19 people.

On July 14, jobless Shahrul, 22, was charged with stealing a black-coloured Lenovo S860 smartphone from IT shop Techasia Boutique at the mall around 4.47pm on the same day. He claimed trial.
