SEPANG: Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) deputy chief commissioner Datuk Seri Mohd Shukri Abdull was all business when he arrived home on Sunday night after an official visit to New York.
Shukri was rushed into a special meeting with deputy chief commissioner Datuk Mustafar Ali and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Paul Low after his flight landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 9.40pm.
The meeting was said to have lasted 10 to 15 minutes, but Shukri did not disclose what was discussed.
Shukri was flanked by several bodyguards and a few MACC representatives when escorted out of the KLIA VIP lounge.
When asked to comment on MACC matters, Shukri held his hands up and said: "Later. Later.
"Let me settle everything all right? Let me settle everything," he said, when pressed further by reporters.
"Thank you for your support. We will see you guys later," he added, before departing in a waiting black-coloured Sedan.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said on Saturday that police investigations into the source of the leak of information that was published in Sarawak Report would be temporarily stopped.
Khalid also reiterated that the investigations were into the source of the leakage and not targeted at MACC itself.
To date, seven MACC officers have been detained and questioned by police.
While Shukri was overseas, special operations director Datuk Bahri Mohd Zin and strategic communications director Datuk Rohaizad Yaakob were told on Friday that they were transferred to the PM's Department with immediate effect.
Upon hearing the news, Shukri asked for his two officers to be returned and to take him as a replacement.
He said that he was ready to take the officers’ places as they were only carrying out his orders.
