    SINGAPORE: Malaysia claimed their first gold of the SEA Games after synchronised swimmers Katrina Ann Hadi-Zylane Lee Yhing Huey lived up to expectations in the duet technical and free routine event.
    Katrina and Yhing Huey who had a slim lead over Singapore's Stephanie Chen-Crystal Yap scored 76.333 in the free routine for an overall score of 151.6769 to take the top spot at the OCBC Aquatic Centre.
    The Singapore duo had a strong 75.233, but it was not enough and had to settle for silver with a total of 149.2038 points.
    Indonesia's Anisa Feritrianti-Claudia Megawati Suyanto took bronze with a 139.088 total.
    Malaysian synchronised swimmers already won a silver medal on Wednesday in the team technical and free routine event.
