    BUKIT MERTAJAM: Two traffic policemen escorting Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s convoy to a press conference were involved in an accident on the North-South Expressway (NSE). 
    Their motorcycles collided and crashed at KM134.4 of the NSE at about 9.45am on Friday after one of the traffic policemen tried to avoid a car.

    However, both Kpl Ramlan Arifin, 49, and Kpl Zulkifli Mat Desa, 48, sustained minor injuries and received treatment at the Seberang Jaya Hospital.
    The officers from the north Seberang Prai district traffic police branch were escorting Dr Zahid, who is also Umno vice-president, and his convoy to a press conference in Permatang Pauh when the incident happened.
