WATCH: Malaysia Airlines Calls 2014 Its ‘Comeback Story’
AIRLINES & AIRPORTS | MALAYSIA AIRLINES | RICH THOMASELLI | MARCH 30, 2015
Malaysia Airlines began its re-branding efforts in the wake of two of aviation’s worst tragedies.
Presumably, the airline meant that its “year or revitalization and success” referred to the second half of 2014. The first half featured the unfortunate tragedies of Flight MH-17 going missing in March of 2014 – it still has not been found – and Flight MH-370 being shot down over Ukraine. More than 560 passengers and crew were lost in both incidents.Calling 2014 its “comeback story” – why it wouldn’t say 2015 is the comeback is unclear – Malaysia Airlines pays tribute to the many passengers and supporters it says remained loyal to the airline and sent words of encouragement.
The narrator of the three-minute video says the airline will come back stronger than ever – “It is no longer a question of if we will exist, but a certainty that we must.”
