We were fortunate to do a review on Wednesday evening, the pictures below are not going to focus on the food only but rather give you a glimpse of the set up so you get a feel of the kampung ambiance with all the live cooking warung's set up!
They have a full blown buffet at the Pacific Ballroom with 300 over dishes, live cooking warung's serving all the Malaysian favourites including A Whole Roast Lamb, murtabak, satay, kuay teow, nasi briyani gam, ikan bakar, seafood and durians too at RM 105 Nett.
Most of the dishes are traditional Malay dishes that taste awesome and authentic. You will will surely remember home when tasting these dishes.
The Gear Box Soup and Soup Ekor Bakar a crowd favourite will surely perk up your energy in case you are lacking of any.
The Chicken and Beef Satay with the peanut sauce was my favourite. We needed no cajoling to chow down at least 1 Kilo of butter prawns too.
The Briyani Gam, lamb shwarma, beef in dark sauce , fish curry, lok-lok, was another crowd favorite.
However the dish of the day has to go the Succulent Roast Lamb, it was simply too good.
I was informed on the day of our visit, four whole lambs were carved.
Sometimes it s best to keep it simple and tasty and that where The Seri Pacific Kuala Lumpur comes out tops.
For those who want some international flavor they have Spaghetti, Sushi and Pizza Stalls.
Desserts were filled with tradition with the traditional kuih-muih and ABC, Cendol, Fruits and not forgetting the king of fruits.
Yes they had Durians in the buffet! Like saving the best for last they usually start opening up the durians at around 845pm, you can see those who love durians waiting eagerly for that moment.
Their drinks was full of flavor and not watered down as in some places. They had Soya Bean, Rose Syrup with soda and a few other cold offering plus the usual Nescafe Tarik dan Teh Tarik.
While you enjoy your food, the roving 4 piece batak band Los Lambada will be around to entertain you "live", mostly taking request from diners.
Going into the last week of Ramadan this is one buka puasa buffet spread you cannot miss. The spread is huge, tasty and absolute value for what you pay.
I call the Seri Pacific Kuala Lumpur the hotel that cares because like every other year, they have a slightly smaller buffet spread at Zende Restaurant priced at a very affordable RM56.00 Nett.
They are the only hotel that give guests an option according to their budget to enjoy a buka puasa feast in the comfort of a 5 star hotel ambiance. For this alone we give The Seri Pacific a huge pat on the back.
Led by General Manager Halim Merican and F&B Manager Milton, you can see them walking around the whole night attending to guest trying to make sure that everyone has a great experience at the Seri Pacific buka puasa feast.
