We did a review of the Ramadan Buka Pusas buffet at Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur last night and it was simply "Fantastic"!.
Normally i would say this after writing the review, but the reviewers were blown away by the fare presented by Royal Chulan Hotel Kuala Lumpur. If you are a Ramadan Buka Puasa Buffet Fan you simply cannot miss this stop.
When i read their brochure they truly lived up to their words in wanting to put up a buffet that would show their appreciation to their loyal guest as well astound other guest with a truly gastronomical with over 1,000 varieties of Malay and international delicacies. Priced at RM118 Nett, what was presented was total value for money.
The beautiful Taman Mahsuri, the hotel's unique atrium courtyard was decorated so grandly that you could feel the Ramadan spirit in the air. The Kampung setting with live cooking stations and stalls in this huge courtyard created an ambiance that you could not possibly get in any other hotel
Live music performances by a Ghazal band will get you in the mood and makes you realize, in a flash Raya is just around the corner.
An array of Malay kuih and fine Arab dates are placed on each table for the guest to break their fast with before before they have the sumptuous buffet comprising a selection of authentic kampung and contemporary dishes. Only the freshest ingredients were used, in the over 20 live cooking stations and each dish looked very appealing and simply so tasty.

The reviewers were simply overwhelmed with each mouthful they took.
The Reviewers favorites were the Satay, Rojak Rambo , Beef Rendang & Lemang, Daging Masak Hitam, Udang Galah, Kari Kepala Ikan, The Tandoori chicken and the wide variety of desserts.

For those who prefer variety they had a Japanese Ninja Corner with the freshest sushi & sashimi you can find.
They had a order to cook pasta station and an Arab station
The Desserts were great and not to sweet. With the wide variety they had you are sure to find something you will like. They had a huge ABC or Ice Kacang Warung with over 150 condiments including chocolate Smarties! The condiments alone was three tables long.
The Management of The Royale Chulan have got the science of putting up a great buffet correct, their Chefs were quick to refill the food and there was never a long line at any warung. The Chefs were efficient and so were the service staff who did a great job in clearing the plates as we ate.
The place was cooling and the ambiance second to none.
Every aspect of their buka puasa was well thought of and well presented.
The Buka Puasa buffet promotion is till July 27 and is priced at RM118 nett per person. You simply have to make this a treat for your family or corporate clients especially before Ramadan ends.
