Two men arrested in connection with Estonian model’s murder

JOHOR BARU: Police have arrested two men in Mersing early today in connection with the murder investigation of Estonian model Regina Soosalu in Pulau Rawa.
The two men, aged 30 and 27, were arrested by a Criminal Investigation Department team at the Mersing district police headquarters at about 12.30am.
It is learnt that the two men were known to the victim and can shed light into police investigations.
This brings to a total of eight suspects detained by police.
On Wednesday, Johor Criminal Investigation Department chief Datuk Hasnan Hassan said police had re-classified the death of Soosalu in Pulau Rawa as murder.
She was initially believed to have died due to drowning.
However, there were injuries on Soosalu's body, which led police to reclassify the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
Soosalu was a freelance model and had arrived in Pulau Rawa on July 1.
She was found drowned on the beach the same day.
