A DOCTOR in Singapore, who was caught sleeping with a married woman, offered to pay her husband S$200,000 (RM513,000) to cover up the matter, Oriental Daily andSin Chew Daily reported.
The man also went down on his knees to apologise to the husband.
The husband, however, chose to divorce his wife, saying he could not accept her being unfaithful to him.
The businessman, named only as Tan, said he found lecherous text messages in her smartphone in April and hired a private investigator to track her, including installing a spy application in her phone.
“Keywords such as pantyhose, skirt, rope and tie surfaced,” he said, adding that the investigator took pictures of his wife and the doctor dating at bars. The wife, after the affair was exposed, admitted they had read pornographic novels together but insisted they never had sex.
