With Brazil's 1-0 lead looking under threat against Colombia in a foul-heavy match, David Luiz just about sealed a place in the semifinals for the home side with a beautiful free kick from 30 yards out. Colombia star James Rodriguez was shown a yellow card for the match's 43rd foul in the 67th minute and Luiz made him pay for his poorly timed challenge by floating the ball into the top of the net. He then celebrated as if his eyeballs were about to pop out of his head.
James Rodriguez pulled one back Colombia from the penalty spot in the 79th minute for his sixth goal of the tournament, but it wasn't enough as Brazil held on to win 2-1 and reach a semifinal date with Germany.
