KUALA LUMPUR: A man in his thirties caused a commotion at Bandaraya LRT Monday morning, when he back-flipped off a pedestrian bridge dressed only in his underwear.
The man was seen stripping down to his underwear and then back-flipped off the pedestrian bridge at the LRT station at 9.57am.
"I think he wanted to jump into oncoming traffic, but he missed and hit the curb instead," said bystander Ibrahim Sani, who was having breakfast at the time near the location of the incident.
Ibrahim said that the man was still conscious after he fell but suffered injuries.
"His back was crooked and it looked like he broke a bunch of bones.
“I immediately called the police and ambulance and went over to him to try help.
"There were many people surrounding the man, but nobody really did anything to help," he added.
The underwear clad man apparently started to pray immediately after the fall then started to crawl a distance of 100 meters toward CIMB headquarters.
"He then started to talk about his grandmother and grandfather," said Ibrahim.
"He must have been either schizophrenic or high on drugs because he said that he was hearing voices in his head.
"I told him to stay put because he was really hurt, but he didn't really listen to me," he said.
The ambulance and police arrived at the scene within 10 minutes and tended to the injured man.
