Obsessive ‘witch’ mum ruins son’s marriage

METRO Ahad reported on an obsessive mother in Kuala Terengganu, whose domineering influence appeared to have wrecked her son’s marriage.
Her distraught daughter-in-law, who wished to be known only as Maznah, claimed that her mother-in-law had crossed the line and was treating her husband like a lover rather than a son.
“She treats him more like her lover rather than a son by showering him with first-class treatment. She would shower him with endearments. Even though she has other children, she seems to pay more attention towards my husband,” she said.
Maznah believed her mother-in-law was practising black magic, hence the influence she had over the son. She claimed to have accidentally witnessed her mother-in-law spitting into the food, and on some occasions, squatting over uncooked rice, before serving the dishes to her son.
“I believe she is practising witchcraft, for at the age of 70, she still looks like she is in her 40s,” she said.

A passer-by who made the grim discovery informed police at 2.15pm on Saturday.
Batu Gajah OCPD Asst Comm Shaharon Anuar Abdul Latif confirmed the case, saying the victim was almost burnt beyond recognition.
The case had been classified as murder, and the body sent to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for a post-mortem.
