NATIONWIDE OPERATION TO WEED OUT ILLEGAL FOREIGN WORKERS FROM 12.01AM JANUARY 21, 2014

PUTRAJAYA: The Home Ministry will be carrying out a nationwide operation to weed out illegal foreign workers.

Codenamed Ops Pemutihan, its minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the operation would be carried out on Jan 21, at 12.01 midnight.
He said the government would no longer compromise on the matter and illegal foreign workers or immigrants caught would be sent back to their home countries.
"The cost of sending them back will be borne by the illegal immigrants or workers themselves, or by their respective employers and embassies," Ahmad Zahid added.
He also said the Malaysian government would not be bearing the cost of sending the illegal foreign workers to their home countries.
