Maritime Senior Officer Shot By Two Men In Carjack Incident

KUALA LUMPUR: An administration director of the Finance Division of the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) was shot by two men in Puchong, Selangor yesterday.
Selangor police chief Datuk Shukri Dahlan said the two men also escaped with the Honda Accord belonging to Nazaruddin Mat Ali.
Kuantan based Nazaruddin, 35, was driving his Honda Accord at 11am when it was rammed from behind by a Toyota Wish.
"When he got out to inspect the damage, a man suddenly opened fire hitting him in the abdomen. They then escaped with the Honda Accord with Nazaruddin's wife inside.
"Nazaruddin's wife, Alawiyah Haron, 35, a company executive was left unhurt at a petrol kiosk in Bangi."
Shukri said they also robbed Alawiyah's handbag containing a necklace, bracelet and Lenovo mobile phone.
The Honda Accord belonging to Nazaruddin was found abandoned in Jalan Persiaran Bangi, Sekyen 4 Tambahan Bandar Baru Bangi.
The case is being investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code.
Nazaruddin was reported to be in stable condition and still receiving treatment in Serdang Hospital.
